Growing Up
Jeffrey is officially on the charts! He had his one year visit to the pediatrician yesterday and all was well. For the first time his measurements were on the growth chart and not below it. He is 18 lbs 6 oz. (5th percentile for 1 year olds), 28 1/2 inches tall (10th percentile), and has a head circumference of 27 1/2 (15 percentile). Our little guy is growing up!!
In addition to his amazing growth, Jeffrey needed two vaccinations. He received the combination measles, mumps, rubella and chicken pox as well as the first of the hepatitis A series. Otherwise Dr. Smith-Burke pronounced Jeffrey healthy and hale.
Later on in the evening Monica dropped by for Jeffrey's physical therapy session. Unfortunately he was in a fussy (and hungry) mood making him quite uncooperative. We are going to continue to work with him on cruising the furniture, drinking from a sippy or a regular cup and working on release skills (releasing toys out of his hands). Monica decided that we are finally ready for the occupational therapist appointment. We got approval for it in September but we waiting for Monica to feel that he was ready.

Thanks for dropping by my blog and for your comment...I really appreciate it!
I feel your pains...at my daughter's 1 year doctor's appointment we were ready to turn the car seat around so that she could see out when we were driving. However, my little shrimp wasn't ready...only 19 lbs. and she had no reason to be that small...especially since she was over 9 lbs. at birth! I think your little guy is doing great, especially since he wanted to join the world so early!
Liane- The boy loves his Nanny, maybe he'll learn to call you that instead of Liane
Happy Working Mom- Yeah the car seat is driving me crazy. He just got out of the infant seat and the new one is just so huge!
Kellie- He's trying to catch up with Morgan
John-We'd love to meet Kenneth and get together. Thanks for the comments!
